Theatre Buff

Here are just a few images from various plays that I have produced over my many years as a drama director. I love working with teenagers and have written many full length plays specifically for my acting troupe.  Not all of them are featured here, but enjoy the show anyway!

From a recent production:Hook's Nemesis

'A Midterm Eve's Phantasm'
 Puck with the sleeping fairies

Scene from "The Western Tale" - an original play based on Shakespeare's "The winter's Tale" but with an edgy western twist.

Pix from my original play "Ali and the Magic Lamp" - a twist on the original with Ali as a skateboarding rebellious girl.

That's me in the crazy outfit at a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre called "Big Daddy" (Not one of mine, but I thought the pic was fun!)

We've done some fun and crazy 'One Acts' over the years! I usually put on a 'One Act Play Festival' every spring with a compilation of short plays and skits. This particular year featured plays that were all written by the kids themselves. Here we see an average afternoon at the coffee shop with a zombie, klepto, Dracula and the 'normal' person whom they all think has problems!

Robin Hood cast and crew - take 1!

Scene from my original play "What a Wonderful Life". Based on the movie starring Jimmy Stewart, this play takes the story and makes it contemporary as a teenaged girl struggles with life's problems, but decides its worth it after all.

More crazy characters from another One Act Festival!
"A Tribute to Shakespeare" - still one of my all time favorites!

Yet another production of Robin Hood!  This one featured a much larger cast. (It was also staged about five years after the first one in a different town, so no worries about repeats!)

Here are some pictures from  - 'TV Parodies'. It was a compilation of skits and plays - many written by the kids themselves. Lots of hilarious fun!

And 'Drama Noir - a Darker Side of Light'
