The finalists are up for the 'Grace Awards' - a reader driven award for excellence in Christian fiction. To check out who the finalists are, just go to the Grace Awards link and then click on the 'Finalists' page. It looks like quite a cross section, with some well known nominees coming against some relative newcomers. This is what makes these awards so unique and relevant, in my mind. Readers make the choices, not publishers or other folks from the 'establishment', if you will.
All books were nominated by readers in the first round. A panel of judges then make the final decision on the winner in each category. I have the privilege to being the lead judge in the 'Suspense/Thriller/Mystery' category - and I couldn't be happier. This is one of my favorite genres, so I hope I can bring some background knowledge to the table as I read the three finalists. So see who they are (and all the other great books listed) go to the Grace Awards website!
